why do you want to study?

Ask the question to yourself first and then give an answer to it.
Okay I hope you have an answer for yourself now.
India is a country with huge population where in everyone is putting their maximum efforts for the survival. And because of this cat and mouse race, the education system has basically become the means of survival and not the means to learn or gain knowledge.
There are two categories of students. One who are forced to study something and the second who study by their interest or passion.
Let me put it this way. Today, the first category students are joining schools or colleges either for the reputation of studying in an institution, by the force of people around them or for a better job in future. The students have totally forgotten the core reason for joining an institution or I can say, they have forgotten why they are joining a course. Some students are unknowingly going in the wrong direction where as some are pushed into. I mean they are pushed either by the parents or the people around them. Right from KG to PG, the fate of a child is decided either by his/her parents or relatives.
Now let me talk about the students who select the colleges or courses by their interest or passion. Yes, they select courses by their choice, But the question is, why are they still failing in achieving their goals. Well, I think the only reason behind the failure of this category of students is the Education System.
And this system is not only responsible for the failure of any one category of students but for all. I hope, most of you reading this article will agree to this point.
So how do we get over this? Ever thought of it?
So, this article is written keeping in mind about all those students who are in a state of confusion in choosing a college or a course and those (Working sector/parents) who wanted to do something but did something else and now are doing something which they never wanted to
So below are few points which I believe the students need to follow –
For students –
1.Make your own choice so that you don’t regret later Like I told in the above phrases, don’t let your parents or your relatives decide a college or a course for you. It’s you who is aware of your pros and cons, so you decide what you want to study and what you want to become in future.
2.Never think “what people will say” Oh yes, this is one of the major problems for failure. Many of us don’t take decisions thinking what people will say or what people will think and we end up doing nothing. I say, JUST DO IT because it is always better to do something rather than doing nothing. And you never know, what success your decision could lead to.
3.Gain knowledge Not the certificate Okay, now let me come to the most important point. i.e., Gain knowledge, not the certificate. What I mean is, any course will give a certificate for completing it. But have you gained knowledge out of the course is my question. In other words, a course might find a job for you but only knowledge can make you the best for that job. So always gain as much as knowledge possible out of the course.
4. Learn out of Box You may be wanting to become an expert on something, which is great but along with that make sure you learn things out of the context. Why I say this is because the things that you learn will never go on a waste and will be useful in one or the other phase of your life. So, as I also personally believe, I recommend each one of you to be keep learning. No matter from where, when and how.
5.Set your goals and focus on them –  Many a times we fail because we don’t plan things properly. This could be getting up in the morning on time. So, it’s always good to have a plan for whatever you do. And regarding the selection of a course, think what are your interests and what are you good at and keep working on them with a goal to achieve.
I won’t be writing about the education system here but may be in the next article very soon.
I hope, the above mentioned are some of the instances which we might or might not have faced.
If you think you got something to learn today or something you got reminded, please write your thoughts on what else could be followed by the students for them to move in the right direction. Write if you have faced situations that restricted or encouraged you to take a decision that you think changed your life.
Last but not the least, I request the parents to understand the strengths and weaknesses of their children. Support your children and stand by them because you are the first and the best teachers.

SME Finance & IT

Small and medium scale businesses have unique and different problems than the bigger firms as per the research study. The first major problem is availability of capital for setting up or running a business. Let us assume that, by some means capital is arranged but this investment usually is whole sum in nature for setting up anything new, be it a new business or expansion plans. But returns and growth of the business are not guaranteed. In this scenario, a business man always tries to distribute his cost over a period and spend or expand as and when he finds increased customers or signs of business growth.

So, renting a place for a business is one good example instead of owning. Renting more space as number of staff grows due to increased business is smart thing instead of renting excess space in advance.

Now apply this logic straight to your investment for IT infrastructure for business. At present traditional IT systems investment is like owning a space with huge capital investment. In Today’s competitive business environment without IT or without upgrading your existing IT up to date, it is very difficult to survive. Here we come to second major problem faced by SMBs, not technologically up to date. But I have a good news for you, cloud products like office365, custom applications for your business with pay as you use model (SAAS) solves these two problems strategically and tactically.

No capital investment required for IT infrastructure as it is a cloud based software suit which means you need a basic machine and an internet connection to use these set of office and business productivity tools online and save all your documents, data, email etc.…online. No IT infrastructure so no Maintenance required as you don’t have any locally installed servers or hardware of any kind. If you have already invested on infrastructure it is wise thing to extend any further investments to cloud. There are lot of right and cost effective solutions for you to move on cloud.

The first problem of capital investment is solved and pay for this service like you do for your business space on rental basis. Pay as you use and as much as you use monthly. Subscriptions cost as low as Few hundred rupees /month/users to few thousand rupees up to certain number of users and applications across devices per user like PC, laptop, android phone etc.… leading to work anywhere anytime concept.

So, coming to second problem that is being up-to date with the technology. Cloud applications are rolling update model which means always updated with new features or client requested minor changes for no extra cost. you can use world class, updated productivity tools and remain competitive globally.

Everything said and done still there is major hitch in adopting this recommended solution, which is understanding this technology, moving from legacy system to this new system or going for a hybrid structure to make use of existing IT infrastructure, making employees to learn and use new tools etc...

We G7CR can help you to overcome these hurdles at free of cost. Free support and value added services by a dedicated team of experts, all you need to do is make us your partner. We advise, consult, help you chose best solution, plan, implement, customise, develop consoles or altogether new app if required for the same pay as you use model and bring all your users on-board to office 365 or Custom apps and be with you in the journey all free of cost.

This is surely a never miss opportunity for you. are you still thinking ….

BIGGEST MISTAKES THAT A STARTUP SHOULD AVOID

Challenges of a Startup varies at various levels. The challenges range from cash flows to family support to choosing the right investors when you are raising funds to just a simple one as hiring of right people with the same passion.
"One of my colleagues once told me that starting a company is 20% idea/strategy and rest 80% is execution.”

As any idea, no matter how good it is, it can easily be copied. The idea is the necessary starting stone and if your idea is exceptional and has mass appeal then get ready to make it big.

To my understanding, here is the list of the top 8 challenges that a startup faces:
  1. Need or Gap Fixing: It’s all about delivering a product or service that meets a critical need of an hour and that to better than anyone else does it. A well-planned and executed product will flourish regardless of the harsh economic climate whereas, a poorly planned and executed product will fail in the best of times. Find an urgent need and fix it better than anyone else.
  1. Execution: Execution is the key to sustain in the long run. The difference between you and your competitors will lie completely on how you have executed your business plan. If you are successful in doing this, then you will surely steal the show.
  1. Raising Finance: Whether to go for debt or equity funding? Terms of getting the funds? How and What cost? Crowd-funding or Bootstrapping? Very early if the startup can hire or collaborate with an Expert or Mentor who is skilled in raising capital then this will help a lot in the long run.
  1. Human Capital: Finding the right team who can share the same passion as the founders is the most challenging part. Staff is an important area for early stage startups as the selection of each member is vitally important yet they often lack the capital necessary to attract top talent which is the key to faster progress.
  1. Cash Flows: Handling cash flows both in terms of short term and long term objective is key. As an entrepreneur, he or she needs to look at this key aspect very minutely.
  1. Unrealistic Expectations: The business projections are not always on the excel sheet. If you can do it right, then its great but realistic approach towards it is necessary. This means to have a realistic approach towards business growth and to be prepared for the best and worst scenario.
  1. Research: This is one of the biggest challenge for any startup. Finding right target audience to feed its products and services is the key. Gathering accurate data to back certain assumptions on business projections is first step. Once this is done the excel sheet can show some valid projections.
  1. Customer Acquisition & Retention: I think it is just not about running for the customers it is also about retention of these customers so that the fixed retainer is coming every month which many entrepreneurs forget.

I invite you to share your views and experiences on the same and feel free to share this thread with like-minded friends and peers or you can also participate in the  upcoming event or stream live online.

IMPORTANCE OF TRAINING IN ENGINEERING COLLEGES

THE MORE YOU SWEAT IN TRAINING, THE LESS YOU BLEED IN BATTLE

Students go to engineering colleges to become more productive. They thought they will become more creative & learn everything they ever dreamed off about technology. Does it really happens? …… Do college really provides all creativity, technological skills to budding engineers or more precisely to software engineers as they are more associated with technology

Where is the gap??......why colleges are not able to meet the expectations of a budding engineers ??.... Are students expecting more from their colleges ….. NO! they aren’t. Actual reason is colleges are not able to provide them everything in one go because of less infrastructure, damn too costly software, less availability of labs as for each set up they need their hardware to be reconfigured all over again. Colleges are not able to provide more hand on labs. Accessibility of labs is not very much flexible.

What exactly happens then?? … After graduating from college engineers go to some training institutes to learn something & get a job.
where are these colleges lacking & why??

Colleges needs to adapt new techniques & new technologies to improve the present scenario. Colleges needs AUTOMATION, CUSTOMISATION, ACCESSBILITY & ADOPTION.

Colleges should go for M4L i.e. Machine for Learning. This is one tool which provides all the solution to above mentioned problem faced by colleges & students

M4L is that one way which provides all the new technology, adaption, accessibility and more hand on labs that too without any physical infrastructure i.e. hardware & all. Colleges need not to reconfigure each & every labs all over again that’s the power of M4L. Students can learn whatever technologies they want on their wish, Students can practice labs from anywhere any time on the go.

Students will not be needing to go out & search for courses & institutes to learn everything all over again to get a job. It’s for both college & students to prepare more, get trained well & become a college who doesn’t bleeds at the time of meeting expectations & become a student who doesn’t bleeds at the time of learning & Placements

ARE CORPORATES INVESTING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION?

WHEN IT COMES TO CORPORATES & THEIR TRAINING THE FIRST THING WHICH COMES TO MIND IS,                       ARE CORPORATES SPENDING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION?

Aren’t they spending too much on something which is not required & not even friendly & FLEXIBLE enough for their employees?

Lot of surveys suggests there is something unaligned about the corporates when it comes to their TRAINING methodology.

Corporate spend a lot on training their employees (induction training for freshers & training on new technologies for existing employees). They use multiple infrastructure like multiple labs, hardware, software, machines etc. Even after so much expenditure and time investment neither its flexible enough for employees as they don’t get HAND ON LABS properly accessible from anywhere, anytime nor they do get rid of reconfiguring their set up all over again with different set of infrastructure requirements for other set of batch.

It shows the METHODOLOGY used by them is not effective and up to date

Corporates spend a lot on infra every time any update comes. Many a times they need to change the whole infra all over again due to required configuration issues & new updates & technology requirements

When they hire 1000’s of freshers & start training them, they need different infrastructure & lab setups for each one of them depending upon their respective training modules & they keep on configuring & reconfiguring the setups which leads to hardware disruption in the long run

When new technology or update comes, corporates need to buy the whole infra all over again.

Accessing the labs is not very flexible with time & place for employees

When corporates are such big technology BRANDS, they should go for something which involves Engineering (reducing efforts, investment, time) & make this process effective, easily adaptable & cost effective)

To solve these problems corporates needs to come up with some solution which solves all the mention problem above in one go.

CREATE REUSABLE CONTENT: Design your training content in such a way that it can be easily updated & used for multiple training scenarios whenever possible

CREATE A SIMPLE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

CREATING SOME INFRA WHICH COSTS ONLY DURING THE USAGE & NOT AT STATIC STAGE

SOME INFRA WHICH PROVIDES MORE HANDS-ON LAP & MORE FLEXIBLE IN USAGE FOR USERS FROM ANYWHERE, ANYTIME.

HERE COMES THE SOLUTION IN THE FORM OF M4L-MACHINE FOR LEARNING- WHICH PROVIDES ALL THE ABOVE SOLUTION TO CORPORATES
Machines for Learning (M4L) is a platform which allows the user to learn any technology in any device, anywhere on the go. M4L is designed and developed by G7CR technologies to meet all the requirements and reduce the problems faced when people when they learn new technologies.
